for the restorati<strong>on</strong> of museum collecti<strong>on</strong>s<br />

through joint financing with the<br />

countries in which the group operates.<br />

for the restorati<strong>on</strong> of major works<br />

of art<br />

in amsterdam, the restorati<strong>on</strong> of six panels<br />

by jurriaan andriessen (1742-1819)<br />

in the van lo<strong>on</strong> museum was jointly<br />

financed by bnP <strong>Paribas</strong> netherlands.<br />

following a meticulous restorati<strong>on</strong> project<br />

overseen by the scientific specialists<br />

at the rijksmuseum in amsterdam, the<br />

unique series is <strong>on</strong>ce again <strong>on</strong> public<br />

display as part of the first ever solo exhibiti<strong>on</strong><br />

of jurriaan andriessen’s work.<br />

Panel paintings were a popular element<br />

of interior design in affluent dutch homes<br />

in the 18th century. the works d<strong>on</strong>e by<br />

jurriaan andriessen depict landscapes<br />

inspired by arcadia and Holland, creating<br />

the rich illusi<strong>on</strong> of perspective for<br />

visitors.<br />

“Wild thing” exhibiti<strong>on</strong> at the Royal<br />

Academy of Arts in l<strong>on</strong>d<strong>on</strong><br />

with the support of bnP <strong>Paribas</strong>, the<br />

royal academy of arts in l<strong>on</strong>d<strong>on</strong> held<br />

an exhibiti<strong>on</strong> celebrating the development<br />

of british sculpture since the start<br />

of the 20th century. jacob epstein, Henri<br />

gaudier-brzeska and eric gill, three excepti<strong>on</strong>al<br />

sculptors brought together<br />

by the royal academy, represented<br />

the period from 1905 to 1915. the “Wild<br />

Thing” exhibiti<strong>on</strong> includes more than<br />

90 of their sculptures, drawings and pastels.<br />

the show brings together spectacular<br />

works including epstein’s rock drill,<br />

gaudier-brzeska’s birds erect, and gill’s<br />

c<strong>on</strong>troversial sculpture ecstasy.
