DENMARK
In 2002, 170 persons departed Denmark under the assisted voluntary return programme, including
55 Bosnians, 43 Somalis and 24 Kosovars. 10 It was reported that this figure represented a
lower level of returns than in previous years, as a result of a 40 per cent decrease in the funding
provided by the government. In the previous year, 224 migrants were assisted to return to their
home country.
