6.4 Tool Offset table<br />

This table stores the dimensions of each tool.<br />

The values of this table can also be modified from the PLC and from the part-program by means<br />

of the high level variables associated with the tools.<br />

The end of the chapter describes how to edit the table. Each offset has a number of fields containing<br />

the tool dimensions. These fields are:<br />

Tool length along the X and Z axes (in radius).<br />

Tool radius.<br />

Tool length wear (I) along the X axis.<br />

It is given in diameters. The CNC will add this value to the nominal length along the X axis in order<br />

to calculate its real length (X+I).<br />

Tool length wear (K) along the Z axis.<br />

The CNC will add this value to the nominal length along the Z axis in order to calculate its real length<br />

(Z+K).<br />
