Canned cycles (·M· model)
The roughing operation defining parameters are:
Fz Penetration feedrate.
I Penetration step.
If programmed with a positive sign (I+), the cycle recalculates the step so all the
penetrations are identical with the same value as or smaller than the one programmed.
If programmed with a negative sign (I-), the milling is carried out with the given pass (step)
except the last pass that machines the rest.
In either case, the cycle limits the step to the cutting length assigned to the tool in the tool table.
F Surface milling feedrate.
S Spindle speed.
T Roughing tool.
If programmed T=0, there is no roughing.
D Tool offset.
Spindle turning direction (icon).
Clockwise.
Counterclockwise.
Tool radius compensation (icon).
Without compensation.
Left-hand compensation.
Right-hand compensation.
Programming of M functions.
Activating or deactivating the execution of M functions before machining. The cycle allows
editing up to 4 M functions. To execute only some of them, define them first and leave the
rest of the data unprogrammed.
The editor will only show this option if the user has configured the editor to allow
programming M functions.
Finishing parameters:
In order to carry out the finishing operation, the roughing must be defined with tool radius
compensation. The operation removes the finishing stock (δ).
