Canned cycles (·M· model) 4.1.2 Work planes and shifting of the machining operations. The canned cycles have no work plane associated with them, they are executed in the current active work plane. To make defining the cycle easier, the editor may be set with an axis configuration that will be good to show the data of the editor. Depending on this configuration, the planes along the longitudinal axis may be called, for example, Xs, Ys or Zs. Work planes along the longitudinal axis. These are the four work planes available in all operations (assuming the Z axis as longitudinal). Starting plane or tool position when calling the cycle Zi). It is not necessary to define this plane.
