Import restrictions<br />

Senders should determine import restrictions from Ecuador authorities before posting:<br />

Drugs and medicines Tea<br />

Ecuador requires an import permit for all commercial goods. Ecuador confiscates commercial goods<br />

unless the addressee holds an import licence.<br />

Special documentation<br />

Consular invoice<br />

Goods that exceed a value of 2000 sucres require five copies of an invoice endorsed by a Consul of<br />

Ecuador and sent separately to the addressee. Items without such an invoice pay higher duties.<br />

Health Certificate<br />

Articles containing vegetable components in any form require a Health Certificate.<br />

In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> and<br />
