Greece admits public securities and securities payable to bearer only with the authorisation of the
Ministry of Finance and Economy.
Import restrictions
Senders should determine import restrictions from Greek authorities before posting:
Cigarette (or equally fine) paper
Firearms
Guns, sporting
Meat products
Milk, condensed
Pharmaceutical products
Plants and plant products
Silk cocoons
All items, including gifts, are subject to customs duty.

Weapons and parts of weapons
Special documentation
Used Clothing
Used clothing, dress materials, footwear, old papers and packing materials require a Certificate of
Disinfection.
Commercial goods
Many commercial goods require the addressee to hold an import licence. Senders must attach a
commercial invoice to customs documentation. Greece grants duty-exemption for items up to a
certain value, senders must check with Greek authorities for this value.
Prohibitions
In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging Post Guide and
ECI and EPI-Parcels Regulations (see �5.8.2), Greece prohibits:
Aluminium in leaves or foil
Lottery tickets and related items
Playing cards
Publications of a seditious nature
Saccharine
Salt
Snuff
Tobacco or tobacco products in
letters
