Senders should determine import restrictions from Brazilian authorities before posting:<br />

Brazil requires an import permit for all commercial goods. Before posting any item, senders should<br />
confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit.<br />
<strong>Post</strong>age stamps<br />
Brazil admits postage stamps only in registered letters.<br />
Special documentation<br />
All commercial and private articles exceeding $US25 in value must include a commercial invoice in<br />
quadruplicate, endorsed by a Brazilian Consulate.<br />
Medicines<br />
Medicines must include a document bearing details of their composition on the outside of the<br />
packing.<br />
Prohibitions<br />
In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> and<br />
ECI and EPI-Parcels Regulations (see �5.8.2), Brazil prohibits:<br />
Abortion-procurement items<br />
Alcohols<br />
Animals and animal products,<br />
except bees, silkworms and<br />
leeches<br />
Firearms and firearm parts<br />
Lottery tickets and circulars<br />
<strong>Post</strong>age stamps, unless in<br />
registered letters<br />
Publications of an immoral or<br />
subversive nature<br />
Tobacco, tobacco products and<br />
tobacco substitute products<br />
Weapons and parts of weapons<br />
Writing material.<br />
