1 ECI and EPI - Parcels deliver to all cities and towns<br />

ECI and EPI – Parcels have delayed delivery to rural destinations, which might be by registered or<br />

express post. Delivery to Canary Islands may take 4-5 work days.<br />

Import restrictions<br />

Spain requires an import permit for many goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm<br />

that the addressee has any necessary permit. Senders should determine import restrictions from<br />

Spanish authorities before posting:<br />

Animals and animal products<br />

Drugs and medicines<br />

Jewellery and precious objects<br />

Pharmaceutical products<br />

Plants and parts of plants.<br />

Special documentation<br />

Commercial goods do not normally require an invoice.<br />

Used clothing and other materials require a Certificate of Disinfection.<br />

Plants and plant products require a Phytosanitary Certificate.<br />

Some goods require a Certificate of Origin.<br />

Prohibitions<br />

In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> and<br />

ECI and EPI-Parcels Regulations (see �5.8.2), Spain prohibits:<br />

Cotton seed<br />

Mushrooms and microbes, Religious relics and objects, such<br />

Foodstuffs containing saccharine cultures of<br />

as rosaries<br />

Lottery tickets<br />

Playing cards<br />

Tobacco.<br />

Spain prohibits weapons of whatever type or category and all components of weapons.
