1 ECI and EPI - Parcels deliver to all cities and towns<br />

ECI and EPI – Parcels have delayed delivery to rural destinations, which might be by registered or<br />

express post. ECI and EPI – Parcels do not deliver to a <strong>Post</strong> Office Box or <strong>Post</strong>e Restante (counter<br />

mail delivery).<br />

2 Extra Cover Limits<br />

Sweden limits the commercial value of the contents of Extra Cover letters, and the maximum Extra<br />

Cover value, to the limit shown. Articles with a value exceeding this limit will be returned to sender.<br />

3 Valuables payable to bearer<br />

Sweden admits valuables payable to bearer only if addressed to a bank acting as intermediary for<br />

Riksbank.<br />

Import restrictions<br />

Sweden requires an import permit for many goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm<br />

that the addressee has any necessary permit. Senders should determine import restrictions from<br />

Swedish authorities before posting:<br />

Animal and animal products<br />

Pharmaceutical products<br />

Plants and plant products<br />

Plastic and rubber products<br />

Strong beer<br />

Weapons<br />

Wood and wood products<br />

Gifts<br />

There is no customs duties for a gift from a private person abroad to a private person in Sweden,<br />

except for wines, spirits and tobacco, if the value of the gift does not exceed 400 Kronor.<br />

Special documentation<br />

Commercial goods require a certified invoice.<br />
