Import restrictions<br />

Libyan Arab Jamahiriya requires an import permit for many goods. Before posting any item, senders<br />

should confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit. Senders should determine import<br />

restrictions from Libyan Jamahiriya authorities before posting:<br />

Butter and margarine<br />

Milk products<br />

Meat and meat products Plants and parts of plants<br />

Weapons and parts.<br />

Special documentation<br />

Commercial goods require an invoice in duplicate. The sender should provide a Certificate of Origin<br />

for all commercial goods, plants, and foodstuffs.<br />

Prohibitions<br />

In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> and<br />

ECI and EPI-Parcels Regulations (see �5.8.2), Libyan Jamahiriya prohibits all items offensive to the<br />

muslim culture or sensitive to the Middle East security situation. Libyan Arab Jamahiriya prohibits:<br />
