The Air Mail and Sea Mail services for Parcels are available only to Golfito, Puntarenas, Limon and
Paso Canoas.
Import restrictions
Senders should determine import restrictions from Costa Rica authorities before posting weapons
and parts of weapons. All imports exceeding $CIF500 require an entry in the Registrado de Pedido
Confirmado through the Central Bank of Costa Rica.
Special documentation
All commercial goods require an invoice in duplicate.
Used clothing requires a Certificate of Disinfection.
Prohibitions
In addition to items prohibited by Dangerous and Prohibited Goods & Packaging Post Guide and
ECI and EPI-Parcels Regulations (see �5.8.2), Costa Rica prohibits:
Animal skins
Gambling devices
Ivory
Lottery tickets and advertising
Obscene or immoral goods
Plants
