International Post Guide 49 SECTION 6 – DESTINATION COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES �6.1 – How to use this Section How to find a country in this directory This Section contains an entry for each destination country or territory. Countries are in alphabetic order. If you cannot find a country, use the cross-reference index at �6.3 on page 291. How to read the standard services grid Each country has a standard grid to show the availability of International Post services. The top part of the grid shows the main Australia Post services described in Section 2. The left-hand side of the grid refers to letters up to 500 g. The right-hand side refers to parcels – that is, over-size letters and any article heavier than 500 g. This is the country name. Countries are in alphabetic order. POST-TO-LAND Service Letters – Zone: Rest of the World Parcels – Zone: C Usual delivery: Extra Cover to: Weight to: Extra Cover to: ECI 1 3–4 work days $5000 1 20 kg $5000 Express Post Int’l � 4–5 work days � � Each row shows an International Post service. This is a guide to delivery time. See �1.8 – Usual delivery time. � means the service is fully available to the country. � means the service is not available to the country. 1 means that you should refer to the numbered note below the grid for limitations or special conditions on the service to the country. These are the International Post charging zones that apply to the country. Letters Parcels If the service is available, this column shows the maximum weight for parcels in the service. If Extra Cover is available in the service, the maximum Extra Cover value is in one column for letters and another for parcels. Import restrictions Before posting, senders should always confirm that goods described in this section have the necessary licence or permit to enter the destination country. Failure to do so could result in the return or confiscation of the goods. Special documentation Special documentation includes invoices, certificates or any special addressing needs of the country. Prohibitions See �5.8 for general prohibitions. This section lists other items the country specifically prohibits. Further information Australia Post has used information from postal administrations to compile this Section. Each county’s trade consul has up-to-date information.
