If any of these or other faulty display conditions exist, contact<br />

your authorized <strong>Isco</strong> service facility or the Teledyne <strong>Isco</strong> factory.<br />

5.1.4 Test Keypad The TEST KEYPAD diagnostic tests the sampler’s keypad. While<br />

the test is active, the display reports the button name of any<br />

button you press. There is no pass or fail message. The technician<br />

must watch the display to determine if the sampler<br />

reports the correct button when it is pressed.<br />

To run the test:<br />

SELECT DIAG: ()<br />

TEST KEYPAD<br />

PRESS ANY KEY<br />

WATCH DISPLAY<br />

ENTER<br />

1. Select the TEST KEYPAD option and press Enter.<br />

2. The sampler displays the test instructions.<br />

3. Press any buttons on the keypad in any order; the display<br />

should report the button name as it is pressed. For example,<br />

press the Enter button. The display reports ENTER.<br />

After 20 keystrokes, the sampler reverts to the SELECT<br />

DIAG menu.<br />

Note<br />

Pressing the red Stop button twice consecutively will exit the<br />

test regardless of the number of strokes.<br />

If the display does not report the button name when you press it,<br />

the keypad could be faulty. Contact your authorized <strong>Isco</strong> service<br />

facility or the Teledyne <strong>Isco</strong> factory.<br />

5.1.5 Test Pump The TEST PUMP diagnostic tests the sampler’s pump assembly.<br />

The sampler operates the pump in each direction and reports an<br />

ON/OFF ratio. This ratio is an indication of the pump’s<br />

mechanical and electronic performance.<br />

To run the test:<br />

SELECT DIAG: ()<br />

TEST PUMP<br />

1. Select the TEST PUMP option and press Enter. The sampler<br />

starts the test and continues without intervention. To<br />

cancel the test you can press the Stop button.<br />

2. The sampler displays the On/Off ratio. To pass, the number<br />

must be between 0.8 and 1.25. The test continues by operating<br />

the pump in reverse (purge).<br />
