5. Start Flowlink’s application Update Software.<br />

a. From the computer START menu, select PROGRAMS,<br />

and highlight Flowlink.<br />

b. Select Update Software.<br />

6. Follow the update instructions in the Update Software<br />

Help menu.<br />

1.5.2 Software Reset If the <strong>5800</strong> does not appear to be operating normally, you can<br />

restart the processor by turning the unit off, waiting a few<br />

minutes, and then turning the unit back on. If the problem<br />

recurs, you can reset the software.<br />

CAUTION<br />

This procedure will cause most programmed entries and accumulated<br />

data stored in the sampler to be lost, and the sampler<br />

will revert to factory default settings. If this operation is performed,<br />

it will be necessary for you to reprogram the unit to<br />

meet the specifications of your installation. Record your program<br />

settings and download any data before performing a software<br />

reset.<br />

To reset the software:<br />

1. Disconnect power to the sampler.<br />

2. Hold down the Stop and Enter buttons together and reconnect<br />

the power.<br />

1.5.3 System IDs Select this option to view the system IDs. This function reports<br />

the unique ID for the sampler, and its hardware and software<br />

versions. These IDs are factory set.<br />

1. Select the SYSTEM IDs option and press Enter.<br />

2. The first line lists the model number. The second line lists<br />

the unique ID for the sampler. Press Enter to continue.<br />

This screen lists the version numbers of the installed hardware<br />

and software. Press Enter to return to the<br />

SELECT OPTION screen.<br />
