Calculating a point-line intersection<br />

1. Press [4] or select Pt-Line in the Intersection menu.<br />

2. Enter the first point name and press [ENT], or<br />

press the MSR softkey to measure directly to<br />

the point.<br />

3. Enter the azimuth, or press the Pts softkey to<br />

enter another point name on the line.<br />

4. Enter the perpendicular point to the line, or<br />

press the MSR softkey to take a measurement<br />

to the point.<br />

5. To calculate the coordinates of the intersection<br />

point, press [ENT].<br />

If P1 and P2 are 3D points, the Z coordinate of<br />

the perpendicular point is calculated relative to<br />

the P1-P2 slope.<br />

6. Enter PT and CD then press [ENT] to record the<br />

point.<br />
