Sighting the backsight by entering the azimuth angle<br />

1. To enter the azimuth angle to the backsight<br />

point, press [2] or select Angle in the<br />

Backsight screen.<br />

2. If there is no point name for the BS, press [ENT]<br />

on the BS field.<br />

3. In the AZ field, enter the azimuth angle to the<br />

BS point.<br />

If you press [ENT] without entering a value in<br />

the AZ field, the azimuth is automatically set<br />

to 0°00'00".<br />

4. Sight the BS point and press [ENT]. ST and F1<br />

records are stored in the job.<br />

You can also use the F2 softkey for F1/F2<br />

measurements. See Advanced feature:<br />

Measuring F1 and F2, page 69.<br />
