Since the year of 1995 the part-owner of publishing house Větrné mlýny, which is the one in Czech Republic oriented
in publishing internal as well as foreign drama. He took part in edition of the more than 100 titels. Regulary cooperates
with printed as well as electronic media. Chief Office of the biggest literáty festival in Czech Republic — Měsíc autorského
čtení (The Month of Public Readings). He shared in creation of several theatre performances. Cooperates with Czech TV

Edward Pasewicz (1971)
je básník a literární kritik. Jeho prvotina, sbírka básní s názvem Lower Wilda, vyšla v roce
2002. Vešla do povědomí svou intelektuální drsností a citlivostí k melodickému jazyku. Pasewiczova
poezie otevírá homosexuální téma soudobé polské literatuře, příběh o homosexuální
lásce mezi umělcem a nezkušeným mladým chlapcem. Anglické překlady jeho poezie vyšly
v antologii A Fine Line: New Poetry from Central and Eastern Europe, vydané v roce 2004 ve Velké
Británii. Pasewicz žije v Poznani.
is a poet and literary critic. His debut, a collection of poems called Lower Wilda, appeared in 2002. Noted for its
intellectual rigour and sensitivity to the melody of language, Pasewicz’s poetry openly introduces the gay theme into
contemporary Polish literature, telling the story of homosexual love between an artist and his unsophisticated young
boyfriend. English translations of his poetry have been included in the anthology A Fine Line: New Poetry from Central
and Eastern Europe, published in 2004 in Great Britain. Pasewicz lives in Poznań.
Iva Pekárková (1963)
Studovala mikrobiologii a virologii na Karlově univerzitě v Praze. V roce 1985 emigrovala
přes rakouský uprchlický tábor do USA. V New Yorku vystřídala řadu zaměstnání, pracovala
jako sociální pracovnice, barmanka a taxikářka. Od roku 1997 žije spolu se svým americkým
manželem opět v Praze. Peníze získává z autorských honorářů za své knihy, živí se i jako překladatelka
a novinářka. V zahraničí jí vyšly následující romány Truck Stop Rainbows - Farrar,
Straus and Giroux (New York), Vintage (New York), Piper Verlag (Mnichov); The World Is Round
- Farrar, Straus and Giroux (New York); Gimme the Money - Piper Verlag (Mnichov), Serpent‘s
Tail (Londýn); The Scarz – původně vydané v angličtině Maťou (Praha). Také napsala scénář
k filmu Sex, drugs and the Club Rock´n´roll .
She studied microbiology and virology at Charles University in Prague. In 1985, she emigrated to the United States via
an Austrian refugee camp. While in New York, she made her living performing various jobs, working as a social worker, a
bartender and a Yellow Cab driver. Since 1997, she moved back to Prague and took her American husband with her. Apart
from royalties for her books, she makes her living as a translator and journalist. Novels published abroad are Truck Stop
Rainbows - Farrar, Straus and Giroux (New York), Vintage (New York), Piper Verlag (Munich); The World Is Round - Farrar,
Straus and Giroux (New York); Gimme the Money - Piper Verlag (Munich), Serpent‘s Tail (London); The Scarz – originally
in English published by Maťa (Prague). She also wrote the film script Sex, drugs and the Club Rock´n´roll .
