Matej Bogataj (1964)
Matej je fundovaný literární a divadelní kritik, který své názory na literaturu shrnul v knihách
Konec koncev... (1993), Obrobje brez središča (1994) in Prebrano, precejeno (2004). Jeho
předmluvy se objevily v řadě publikací cizí i slovinské literatury.
Matej is an established literary and theatrical critic. He has collected his views on literature in the books Konec
koncev... (After all, 1993), Obrobje brez središča (The Outskirts without a Center, 1994) in Prebrano, precejeno (Read,
Strained 2004). His forewords have appeared in numerous publications of Slovenian and foreign literature.
Alexandra Büchler
je ředitelkou LAF (Literature Across Frontiers – Literatura bez hranic), programu mezinárodní
literární výměny, který sídlí ve Velké Británii, je členkou redakční rady European Internet Review
of Books and Writing, Transcript. Narodila se v Praze, studovala tu, ale i v Řecku a v Austrálii.
Překládá beletrii, básně, divadelní hry a texty o moderním umění a architektuře z angličtiny,
češtiny a řečtiny. Přeložila více než dvacet publikací a vydala šest antologií soudobých českých,
australských, skotských a řeckých povídek zahrnující This Side of Reality: Modern Czech Writing
(1996), Allskin and Other Tales by Contemporary Czech Women (1998). Je spoluvydavatelkou A
Fine Line, New Poetry from Eastern and Central Europe (2004). Mezi mnohé autory, jejichž dílo
přeložila do češtiny, patří J. M. Coetzee, David Malouf, Jean Rhys, Janice Galloway a Rhea Galanaki.
is Director of Literature Across Frontiers, a programme of international literary exchange based in Great Britain, and
member of the editorial board of the European Internet Review of Books and Writing, Transcript. Born in Prague, she
was educated there, in Greece and Australia. A translator of fiction, poetry, theatre plays and texts on modern art and
architecture from English, Czech and Greek, she has translated over twenty publications and edited six anthologies of
contemporary Czech, Australian, Scottish and Greek short stories, including This Side of Reality: Modern Czech Writing
(1996) and Allskin and Other Tales by Contemporary Czech Women (1998) and is co-editor of A Fine Line, New Poetry
from Eastern and Central Europe (2004). Among the many authors whose work she has translated into Czech are J. M.
Coetzee, David Malouf, Jean Rhys, Janice Galloway and Rhea Galanaki.
Luděk Janda (1975)
Je překladatelem, autorem dětských knih a komiksů, zabývá se teorií médií ve vztahu k
dítěti. Pro děti upravil text Richarda Kubeše Kvik pluje na jih. Ve spolupráci s kreslíři Martinem
Šútovcem a Jurajem Baloghem napsal pro časopis Mateřídouška komiksové seriály Berta, Berta
kontra Modrovous a Opičí srdce. Píše průvodní texty a komiksy pro školní učebnice. V současnosti
přednáší na Ústavu filmu a audiovizuální kultury Masarykovy univerzity nová média,
počítačové hry a animovaný film. Je členem komise Dětských literatur Univerzitní agentury
frankofonie (LDE-AUF), kde zastupuje východní a střední Evropu.
Translator, author of children’s books and comics, is engaged in theory of media on the subject of child. For children
he modified a text of Richard Kubeš – Kvik sails to the south (Kvik pluje na jih). In cooperation with drawers Martin Surovec
and Juraj Balogh he wrote for the magazine Mateřídouška comic’s serials: Berta, Berta kontra Modrovous and Opice
33
