Iztok Osojnik (1951) básník, autor sci-fi,<br />

esejista, překladatel, malíř, bývalá (opoziční)<br />

roková hvězda a zakladatel nového trendu<br />

(literární hnutí sousrealism), horolezec. Vystudoval<br />

komparativní literaturu na Univerzitě<br />

v Lublani , následovalo studium na Osaka<br />

Gaidai University (1980-82). Osojnik napsal<br />

18 básnických sbírek a 4 romány. Rovněž publikoval<br />

literární eseje, antropologii a filosofii.<br />

Tři básnické knihy Nekoč je bila Amerika (Jednou<br />

byla Amerika), Iz novega světa (Z Nového<br />

světa) a Gospod Danes (Pán Dnes) vyšly ve<br />

Slovinsku v posledních letech. Překládá poezii<br />

z čínštiny, angličtiny, španělštiny a chorvatštiny.<br />

Za svoje dílo získal ceny S. Jenka<br />

(1997), Veronika (1998), O. Župančiče (1992)<br />

a italskou Friuli Poetry (2002). Před několika<br />

lety byl ředitelem festivalu ve Vilenici.<br />

Iztok Osojnik (1951), poet, fiction writer, essayist,<br />

translator, artist, former rock-in-opposition star and trendsetter<br />

(literary movement sousrealism), tour director,<br />

mountain climber. He graduated in Comparative Literature<br />

from the University of Ljubljana, postgraduate studies at<br />

Osaka Gaidai University (1980-82). Osojnik published<br />

eighteen books of poetry and four novels. He also publishes<br />

essays on literature, anthropology and philosophy.<br />

Four books of poetry Nekoč je bila Amerika (Once upon a<br />

Time in America), Iz novega sveta (From the New World),<br />

Gospod Danes (Mister Today) and Nasmeh Mone Lize<br />

(The Smile of Mona Lisa) in Slovenian were published during<br />

the last two years. His poems were published in various<br />

literary reviews in seventeen different languages all over<br />

the world. He translates poetry from Chinese, English,<br />

Spanish and Croatian. For his work he has won the Jenko<br />

(1997), Veronika (1998), Župančič (1992) and Italian Friuli<br />

Poetry (2002) awards. For several years he was director of<br />

Vilenica festival.<br />
