4.2.8. The Netherlands
The Air Pollution Act 148,149 is aimed at preventing and controlling air pollution and
covers stationary sources. No installation may be set up or operated without a
permit issued by the provincial authority. In general air emission limits will be
detailed in the environmental permit ("milieuvergunning") of the facility.
Table 49 outlines the General emissions standards as detailed in Annex I of the
UN Heavy Metals Protocol. In The Netherlands, the limit value of 10 mg/m 3
applies to all installations equipped with fabric filters independant of mass flow.
