Markbreit Mordehai
Markbreit Tibor
Born in Debrecen in 1923
Killed in 1944
Member of “Hanoar Hatzioni”
Mordehai studied at the Jewish high school in his hometown and excelled
1944 he was enlisted in a forced labor unit and sent to the Bór camp
where he was severely wounded but managed to survive. He arrived in
Budapest and joined the underground activities. He stayed in the bunker
These arrived on the site and started chasing the young Jews. Mordehai
and all his friends were killed during this chase. Only one of them, Moshe
Katz, survived to tell the story.
the labor unit.
In October 1944 Joseph escaped with the help of the movement and
