Braun Yitzhak<br />

Born in Sopron on 25.3.1922<br />

Member of “Hanoar Hatzioni”<br />

Yitzhak was among the very first members of the movement in the<br />

Sopron area. He completed some hahsharot <strong>and</strong> took part in the winter<br />

camp in Balatonboglár in 1943. He distributed <strong>for</strong>ged documents. In the<br />

summer of 1944 Yitzhak went on a tiyul to Romania.<br />

In Israel Yitzhak worked <strong>for</strong> El-Al (the Israeli Airlines). He resides in Tel-<br />

Aviv.<br />

Breuer Meir<br />

Breuer Géza<br />

Born in Miskolc in 1923<br />

Disappeared/murdered in 1944<br />

Member of “Hashomer Hatzair”<br />

Meir was member of the Miskolc ken of Hashomer Hatzair. He was an<br />

upholsterer. Meir was mobilized <strong>for</strong> <strong>for</strong>ced labor, escaped <strong>and</strong> arrived in<br />

Budapest. He worked <strong>for</strong> the underground, delivering food to the<br />

children’s houses <strong>and</strong> the Budapest ghetto. In December 1944 Meir left<br />

Wekerle Sándor Street with a delivery of food <strong>and</strong> disappeared.<br />

Broshi Dov<br />

Borsodi Tibor<br />

Born in Budapest in1923<br />

Died in 2003 in Israel<br />

Member of “Hanoar Hatzi’oni”<br />

In December 1943, in the “Hanoar Hatzi’oni”camp in Balatonboglár, Dov<br />

organized underground operations together with other members of the<br />

movement, who had arrived from Pol<strong>and</strong> as refugees. He took part in the<br />

organization of the bunker of the movement in Szepløcsepkøbarlang in<br />

Buda. In March 1944 Dov traveled to country towns to warn his comrades<br />

there of the imminent danger <strong>for</strong> Jews.<br />

Dov crossed the border into Romania <strong>and</strong> arrived in Eretz Israel<br />

(Palestine). Dov was an economist <strong>and</strong> worked <strong>for</strong> Bank Leumi. He was<br />

appointed to the Committee <strong>for</strong> the Inspection of Atomic Energy in Vienna<br />

<strong>and</strong> was a department manager. Thereafter, he retired.<br />
