Throughout the football season, there are a number of ways in which players can benefit
local charities by raising their level of performance on the field. Programs have been developed
that unite charities with sponsors who donate money based on game day performances. Listed
below are the programs which were in place during the 2009 football season:
SPECIAL KICKS -
FIELD GOALS & PUNTS
For every successful field goal
and punt landing inside the 20-
yard line, a donation was made
to Camp Fire USA. The program
raised $248,495.
WINNING TO TACKLE
For every Seahawks tackle, a
donation was made to Northwest
Harvest. The program, presented by
7-Eleven, raised $10,000.
TOUCHDOWNS FOR CHARITY
For every offensive touchdown, a
donation was made to Big Brothers Big
Sisters of Puget Sound. The program
raised $7,250 last season and was sponsored
by O Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky.
