The Seahawks got behind early to the efficient Indianapolis Colts and could not catch up. The Colts scored
touchdowns on four of their first five drives with each drive 78 or more yards. Seattle’s untimely penalties
held them to just three points through three quarters. Indianapolis scored on their opening possession
when Donald Brown plowed in from one yard out. Forced to a three-and-out on their next drive, the Colts
drove 90 yards capped by the first of two Peyton Manning TD passes, this to Reggie Wayne from five yards
out. Seattle got on the board to pull within 14-3 after a 38-yard Olindo Mare field goal with 1:22 remaining
in the half. Manning executed a flawless two-minute drill and found Austin Collie in the corner of the
endzone with :03 to go before half for a 21-3 lead. Joseph Addai pushed the lead to 28-3 on the Colts opening
drive of the second half on a 12-yard run. A pair of fourth quarter Adam Vinatieri field goals stretched
the lead to 34-3. Seneca Wallace led two fourth quarter TD drives for the Seahawks. Wallace scampered in
on a 7-yard scramble for the first and found Owen Schmitt for his first career touchdown on a 1-yard scoring
toss in the final minute.
