Inducted into the Ring of Honor in 1992, Dave<br />

Brown was an 11-year starter in the<br />

<strong>Seahawks</strong>’ secondary from 1976-1986. Com -<br />

ing over from the Pittsburgh Steelers in the<br />

Veteran Allocation Draft in 1976, Brown<br />

Seattle at the free safety position leading the<br />

team with four interceptions. The following<br />

season #22 would shift over to the right-side<br />

cornerback position where he would be the<br />

“cornerstone” of the <strong>Seahawks</strong>’ defense for<br />

the next 10 years, picking off another 46 passes,<br />

retiring as the all-time <strong>Seahawks</strong> leader in<br />

BROWN’S NFL RECORD<br />

the category with 50. In 1984, Brown picked<br />

off eight passes and was named to the AFC<br />

Pro Bowl squad and first-team All-NFL by<br />

NFL Films. Two of those interceptions were<br />

part of a NFL-record four interception returns<br />

for touchdowns on November 4, 1984 against<br />

the Kansas City Chiefs. Brown had returns of<br />

90 and 58 yards. Brown retired as the<br />

<strong>Seahawks</strong>’ leader in interception return yards<br />

(643), interception returns for touchdowns<br />

(5), and the aforementioned interceptions<br />
