Chris Richards, CB, 5-11, 181, Rookie, Stony Brook (Pacoima, Calif.)<br />

Signed by Seattle on May 3, <strong>2010</strong>, as a free agent. Played two seasons and 11<br />

games at Michigan before transferring to Stony Brook. Started 21 of 22 career<br />

games for the SeaWolves, collecting 81 tackles and four interceptions. Earned<br />

second-team All-Big South honors both seasons. A 2005 graduate of James<br />

Monroe High School in North Hills, Calif., winning the scholar-athlete award<br />

there seven times. Totaled 257 tackles and 15 interceptions in his career, returning<br />

seven of the picks back for scores. Also had 2,903 yards rushing and 23<br />

touchdowns and 196 receptions for 2,806 yards on offense. Set school and<br />

league record with a 99-yard kickoff return. Was the Valley Mission League Co-<br />

Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Majored in history. Born on<br />

October 11, 1987.<br />

Rob Rose, DE, 6-4, 291, Rookie, Ohio State (Cleveland, Ohio)<br />

Signed by Seattle as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 24, <strong>2010</strong>. A fouryear<br />

letterwinner for the Buckeyes, Rose played in 45 career games with five<br />

starts, collecting 31 tackles (16 solo) and 7.5 sacks. Prepped at Glenville High.<br />

Totaled 77 tackles (45 solo), 17 sacks and two interceptions as a senior. Named<br />

first-team All-Ohio pick and Cuyahoga County Defensive Player of the Year.<br />

Majored in African-American studies. Born on December 24, 1987.<br />

Joe Toledo, T, 6-5, 330, 2nd Year, Washington (Encinitas, Calif.)<br />

Signed by Seattle as a free agent on May 3, <strong>2010</strong>. Originally a fourth-round pick<br />

(114th overall) by the Miami Dolphins in the 2006 NFL Draft and spent his rookie<br />

season on injured reserve (knee) and 2007 on the physically unable to perform<br />

list (knee). Released by Miami on February 12, 2008, and signed with<br />

Green Bay on February 28, only to be released on June 4. Signed with San<br />

Francisco on June 10 and spent the 2008 season on the 49ers practice squad.<br />

He was released by San Francisco following training camp in 2009 and signed<br />

to San Diego’s practice squad on October 27, 2009. Started 23 of 32 career<br />

games at the University of Washington, playing tight end for three seasons<br />

before moving to the offensive line his senior year. Caught 27 passes for 291 yards and two<br />

touchdowns in his career. Attended La Costa Canyon High in Carlsbad, Calif., where he lettered<br />

in football, basketball and baseball. Caught 75 passes for 1,792 yards and 19 touchdowns as a<br />

tight end during his prep career. Also recorded 51 tackles and five sacks as a defensive end.<br />

Majored in law. Born on October 20, 1982, in Omaha, Neb.<br />

Marcus Udell, CB, 5-10, 184, Rookie, Middle Tennessee (Tallahassee, Fla.)<br />

Signed by Seattle as a rookie free agent on May 4, <strong>2010</strong>. Made two college<br />

stops before ending his career at Middle Tennessee. Earned all-state honors<br />

and finished second in the state of Mississippi with five interceptions at<br />

Copiah-Lincoln CC before transferring to College of the Canyons. Collected 36<br />

tackles, two interceptions, five passes defensed, and two forced fumbles in<br />

2007 before transferring. At Middle Tennessee, played a reserve role in 2008<br />

and earned first-team all-conference honors in 2009 after turning in a conference-best<br />

seven interceptions. Played in 21 games for the Blue Raiders, collecting<br />

27 tackles and seven interceptions in his two-year career. Attended Godby<br />

High and was a four-star recruit by Rivals.com who signed with Alabama coming out of high<br />

school. Registered 68 tackles, eight interceptions (tied school record) and 18 pass breakups as a<br />

senior. Had 13 interceptions and 34 pass breakups for his career. Also participated in track. Born<br />

on October 21, 1986.<br />
