Hired on February 4, <strong>2010</strong>, Mondray Gee<br />

enters his 10th year in the NFL, spending the<br />

first seven in Detroit and the last two in Green<br />

Bay’s weight room. Recommended to coach<br />

Carroll by GM John Schneider, who also<br />

worked in Green Bay before joining Seattle.<br />

While in Green Bay, Gee worked with players<br />

on improving power development, speed,<br />

recovery & regeneration and flexibility. Was a<br />

part of the staff that helped Pro Bowl players<br />

Nick Collins, Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews<br />

and Charles Woodson earn a trip to the postseason<br />

in 2009 with an 11-5 record.<br />

His primary duties in Detroit included<br />

designing, organizing and executing strength<br />

and conditioning procedures, as well as assisting<br />

with practice and assisting the defensive<br />

staff on game days.<br />

Prior to his tenure in Detroit, Gee worked in<br />

many capacities at Michigan State (1996-2001).<br />

During his time at the school, he assisted the<br />

strength and conditioning department and the<br />

football team. He worked as an intern as an<br />

undergrad and served as a graduate assistant<br />

from 2000-01.<br />

Gee earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology<br />

education in 1999, and secured a master’s<br />

degree in athletic administration in 2002.<br />

During his time at Michigan State, he<br />

worked with several NFL players, including current<br />

<strong>Seahawks</strong> tight end Chris Baker. Others<br />

Gibbs brings over 30 years of offensive knowledge<br />

to Seattle’s coaching staff. Gibbs comes<br />

to Seattle after two seasons as the Houston<br />

Texans assistant head coach/offense.<br />

In the summer of 1999, Gee interned for the<br />

Chicago Cubs Class A affiliate, Lansing<br />

Lugnuts, assisting major leaguer Carlos<br />

Zambrano.<br />

Gee, pronounced like the letter ‘G,’ is an avid<br />

music listener and enjoys working out and birdwatching.<br />

His cousin, Karl Williams, who played<br />

in the NFL for nine seasons (1996-2004), is the<br />

all-time leader in punt return yards for the<br />

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2,279).<br />

Born on June 15, 1976, in Detroit, Mich., Gee<br />

attended Wayne Memorial High School in<br />

Wayne, Mich., where he played basketball, ran<br />

track and was a part of the school choir.<br />
