The Seahawks dropped their final road game of the season to the Green Bay Packers 48-10. With the temperature
at 18 degrees at kickoff, it marked the second coldest game in club history. The Packers, looking
to clinch a playoff spot, jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the opening quarter. After forcing the Packers to a
three-and-out on the opening drive, the Seahawks ran the ball down the field before A.J. Hawk intercepted
a Matt Hasselbeck pass and returned it 29 yards which set up an Aaron Rodgers to Brandon Jackson
13-yard TD pass. On their next possession, the Packers tacked on another TD with a Ryan Grant 3-yard run.
The Seahawks got on the board midway through the second quarter with Olindo Mare’s club record 19th
consecutive successful field goal attempt. However, the Packers would tack on 10 more points before half
behind a Grant 56-yard run and a Mason Crosby field goal to take a 24-3 lead. Brandon Jackson added
two short TD runs (6, 4) in the third quarter to extend the Packers lead to 38-3. Another Crosby field goal
(52 yards) and an Ahman Green 6-yard run put the Packers ahead 48-3 in the fourth quarter before
Hasselbeck found John Carlson for his sixth TD of the season, a club record for tight ends. In the game,
Hasselbeck became the franchise all-time leader in passing yards eclipsing Dave Krieg’s record of 26,132.
