• In 2003, validated one of the finest seasons<br />

by a quarterback in club history with a trip to<br />

the Pro Bowl after leading club to first-ever<br />

undefeated home record. Tied own record for<br />

most 300-yard games in a season (4), while<br />

becoming the first quarterback since Mirer in<br />

1993 to start all 16 games.<br />

• In 2004, joined Krieg as only quarterbacks in<br />

club history to pass for 20-or-more touchdowns<br />

in consecutive seasons, while joining Zorn as<br />

the franchise’s only quarterbacks to eclipse<br />

3,000 yards three consecutive seasons. Named<br />

NFC Offensive Player of the Month for<br />

December after passing for 1,140 yards, completing<br />

94 of 131 attempts (71.6%), 10 touchdowns,<br />

and four interceptions. Helped Seattle<br />

earn their first NFC West title. In playoff game<br />

versus St. Louis (1/8/05), passed for 341 yards<br />

completing 27 of 43 attempts, two touchdowns,<br />

and an interception. Joined Dan Fouts and<br />

Marc Bulger as the only players in NFL history<br />

to begin their postseason careers with two 300-<br />

plus passing games. Broke own <strong>Seahawks</strong><br />

postseason record with 341 yards.<br />

• In 2005, highlighted one of the best performances<br />

by a quarterback by leading the team to<br />

the franchise’s first Super Bowl. Started all 16<br />

games for second time of career while leading<br />

the NFC and setting a club record for highest<br />

single-season passer rating (98.2). Named the<br />

starter for the NFC Pro Bowl squad. Touchdown<br />

total led the NFC while completion percentage<br />

(65.5) was second. Eclipsed the 3,000-yard<br />

mark for the fourth straight year, breaking<br />

Zorn’s club record (3). Passed for at least one<br />

touchdown in career-high 12 consecutive<br />

games. Had a December to remember posting<br />

the fourth-best passer rating in NFL history<br />

(135.5) during the month, tossing 10 touchdowns<br />

and one interception with a completion<br />

percentage of 76.0. Totaled a 103.0 passer rating<br />

in eight road games and did not throw an interception<br />

on the road in final seven games (185<br />

attempts) of the season. Set club record for<br />

consecutive passes without an interception<br />

streak at 159 (Zorn, 153).<br />

* In 2007, set single season club records for<br />

attempts (562), completions (352) and passing<br />

yards (3,966). Completed 27 passes at Carolina<br />

(12/16/07) on his way to setting the club’s single-season<br />

record with 319. Set career high<br />

with 26th and 27th TD pass versus Baltimore<br />

(12/23/07).<br />

• In 2009, became franchise leader in career<br />

completions surpassing Krieg (2,096) versus<br />

Detroit (11/8). Also set a single-game record in<br />

that game completing 39 passes, including 15<br />

consecutive, tied for second- most in club history.<br />

Also surpassed Krieg’s club record for<br />

most career pass attempts at Minnesota (11/22).<br />

Eclipsed Krieg’s franchise record (26/132) for<br />

career passing yards at Green Bay (12/27).<br />

Missed two games (Chicago 9/27, Indianapolis<br />

10/4) with fractured ribs suffered at San<br />

Francisco (9/20).<br />

COLLEGE: Four-year letterman and two-year<br />

starter at Boston College. Finished fifth on the<br />

Eagles’ career passing list with 4,548 yards,<br />

completing 390 of 701 passes with 22 touchdowns<br />

and 26 interceptions. Started 21 games<br />

while playing in 37. Completed 188 of 305 passes<br />

for 2,239 yards and 11 touchdowns with 10<br />

interceptions as a senior, when he was the cowinner<br />

of the “Thomas F. Scanlon Award” as<br />

the school’s outstanding senior scholar-athlete.<br />

Threw for 277 yards in a 22 of 33 performance,<br />

that included a school-record 14 consecutive<br />

completions, versus Notre Dame. Completed<br />

31 of 46 attempts for a career-high 393 yards<br />

and three touchdowns in his final collegiate<br />

game in a victory over Army. As a junior, he hit<br />

on 171 of 330 passes for 1,990 yards and nine<br />

touchdowns with nine interceptions. Came off<br />

the bench to lead the team to a come-frombehind<br />

victory over Hawaii in the season opener.<br />

Started the next 10 games before separating<br />

his right shoulder, causing him to miss the season<br />

finale versus Miami (Fla.). Served as the<br />

Eagles’ backup quarterback as a sophomore.<br />

Played in 11 games with one start. Completed<br />

27 of 60 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns,<br />

with seven interceptions. Saw action in<br />

five games as a redshirt freshman. Received a<br />

B.S. Degree in Marketing and Finance.<br />

PERSONAL: Was an honorable mention All-<br />

American selection by USA Today as a senior at<br />

Xaverian Brothers High School in West wood,<br />

Mass. Also garnered All-East honors from Blue<br />

Chip Illustrated and All-New England honors<br />

from SuperPrep. A two-year starter, he completed<br />

90 of 120 passes for 1,490 yards and<br />

seven touchdowns as a senior. Also ran for 400<br />

yards and three touchdowns en route to capturing<br />

conference title and runner-up in<br />

Massachusetts’ Division 1-A Super Bowl. Also<br />

won three letters in basketball and two in baseball.<br />

Competed in CBS’ version of the “NFL<br />

Quarterback Challenge” over the 2003 offseason<br />

and finished in first place. Father Don,<br />

played tight end in the NFL for nine seasons<br />

with the Patriots (1977-83), Raiders (1983),<br />

Vikings (1984), and Giants (1985). Younger<br />

brother Tim was the starting quarterback for<br />

Boston College and played for the N.Y. Giants<br />

and Arizona Cardinals. Youngest brother,<br />

Nathanael, also attended Boston College and<br />

played wide receiver. Married college sweetheart<br />

Sarah and has two daughters, Annabelle<br />

and Mallory, and son Henry.
