This stadium is the largest covered and air-conditioned<br />

stadium in India and features state-of-art facilities Illuminated<br />

by 2,200 lux, three-level sports lighting system, an automatic<br />

fire sprinkler system/wet-raiser with an intelligent addressable<br />

fire detection and fire alarm system. The existing seating arena<br />

has been structurally modified to make it barrier free for<br />

physically challenged persons. Two new warm-up halls and five<br />

new ramps have been newly built around the stadium.<br />

Built with 1,200 million tonne (MT) of high grade steel, this<br />

stadium is a ground plus two storey RCC frames structure<br />

designed according to Seismic Zone - IV requirements.<br />

The ground floor (Plaza Level) includes six warm-up mats,<br />

athletes lounge, change rooms, lockers, technical officers<br />

lounge, medical & physiotherapy, doping control, logistics,<br />

venue management, spectator seating, beverages, equipment<br />

storage, press conference, light and sound control, result<br />

processing and printing room, etc.<br />

The first floor (Concourse Level) has offices, media and<br />

games family lounges, security area, medical first aid, spectator<br />

concourse and food and beverages stalls. The second floor<br />

level (upper level) has the spectator lounge, temporary<br />

seating, storage and AHUS. The large multipurpose hall (130<br />

m x 40 m) can have multiple uses in legacy mode.<br />
