The construction status of all these venues was regularly<br />
monitored through a web-based monitoring system, developed<br />
by MoYAS, and they were handed over to the OC CWG Delhi<br />
2010 by 4 August 2010.<br />
• Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MoYAS)<br />
Responsible for:<br />
* Preparation of venues: MoYAS was in charge of<br />
construction of 13 main stadia through the Sports<br />
Authority of India (SAI), including the flagship Jawaharlal<br />
Nehru Stadium, the venue of the Opening and Closing<br />
ceremonies. The executing agency for these projects<br />
was the Central Public Works Department (CPWD)<br />
under MoUD.<br />
In addition, MoYAS provided grants to develop stadia<br />
infrastructure at the following competition and training<br />
venues:<br />
* R.K. Khanna Tennis Complex<br />
* University of Delhi<br />
* Funding: Apart from funding various sports infrastructure<br />
projects, MoYAS provided a loan to the OC CWG Delhi<br />
2010 for the Conduct of the <strong>Games</strong> and for Overlays at the<br />
competition venues. Funds were also provided to the OC<br />
CWG Delhi 2010 through SAI for the Timing, Scoring and<br />
Results (TSR) system and <strong>Games</strong> Time sports equipment<br />
and to the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL)<br />
for the host city telecom infrastructure, and the Electronic<br />
Corporation of India Ltd. (ECIL) for installing the security<br />
equipment at all venues.<br />
• Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD)<br />
Responsible for:<br />
* Supervision and monitoring of nine SAI stadia and the<br />
Kaderpur Shooting Range constructed by CPWD.<br />
* Construction of several competition and training<br />
stadia, including the competition venues for Badminton,<br />
Squash, Table Tennis and Archery at Siri Fort Sports<br />
