(17-24 yrs) 3-week job readiness program with two-year post-placement support.<br />
Enrollees learn to take orders, accept criticism, and use the telephone and<br />
computers. Curriculum is conducted in simulated workplace, group interaction and<br />
one-on-one sessions. Programs youth, ex-offenders, non-custodial parents and<br />
TANF. Sessions start the 1 st or 2 nd Friday of each month. Classes held Mon-Fri,<br />
9am to 5pm, Graduates placed in entry level positions paying $8.25 to $11.00 per<br />
hour. Fare cards provided. Strict dress code.<br />

management, mentoring, basic computer training, life skills, job interview<br />

properties technician, crew chief, energy auditors. Courses in diagnostics, energy<br />
audits, weatherization tactics, combustion analysis. 4 month classes in plumbing,<br />
carpentry, building maintenance, and Broad band (electronic copper cabling, fiber<br />
optic cabling, telecommunications, voice over phone lines, and home<br />
entertainment. Classroom and in-field training. Course fees required (scholarships<br />
