The following containment tools are used to provide close community supervision of sex offenders: o Computer Monitoring - CSOSA Sex Offender Unit (SOU) (202) 585-7494, Trina Stewart, Electronic Monitoring SCSO Computers of persons with sex offense convictions are monitored to determine if they are accessing pornography or other prohibited materials over the Internet. o Polygraph Testing - Polygraph examiners are a required component of CSOSA contractors for sex offender therapy. The CSO can request a polygraph exam at any time. Exam questions cover entire sexual history, current offense, past sexual acts, compliance with the conditions of supervision, and behavior in the community. The results of the exam are shared with the CSO and may result in increased sanctions including termination of treatment and revocation. Those interested in hiring a private examiner can contact the PDS Duty Day attorney for a list of independent polygraph examiners (202) 628-1200. o Search and Seizure - With the authority of the Court or US Parole Commission, the CSO may search the supervisee, his residence, work or vehicle, at any time.
