17-week intensive outpatient program Mon - Fri 8:30am to 2pm. Evening program<br />
6pm to 8pm available for working veterans. Individual, group, and vocational<br />
counseling; 12-step (NA/AA) oriented. Methadone maintenance contracted through<br />
United Planning Organization (see UPO this chapter). Qualified veterans screened by<br />
VA medical and mental health staff before entering the program. Dually diagnosed<br />

Outpatient and/or intensive outpatient substance abuse assessment and treatment,<br />
individual and group counseling, case management, anger management, urine<br />
screenings, physical exams and medical treatment, mental health therapy (if<br />
indicated). Must speak Spanish and available for therapy Mon, Tues, Thurs evenings.<br />

o Outpatient: Examinations, group therapy, relapse prevention, and medical.<br />

o Intensive Outpatient: Individual and group therapy, monthly medical, and<br />
psychiatric assessments, 1 hr group sessions Mon, Wed, Fri 11am to noon, or<br />
noon to 1pm. Self-pay, major insurances. Day treatment for dually<br />

C. Traffic Alcohol Program recognized by DMV, CSOSA and DBH to provide<br />
alcohol education<br />
Individuals arrested in the District of Columbia for a misdemeanor traffic offense are<br />
generally assigned to a period of probation supervision in CSOSA’s Traffic Alcohol<br />
Program (TAP). The TAP Supervision Unit is located at: 800 North Capitol Street, NW<br />

Individuals placed under TAP supervision must successfully fulfill special reporting<br />
conditions that include participation and completion of a certified Alcohol Education<br />
