• Leadership development<br />
Our leadership programme<br />
will focus on creating a single,<br />
cohesive leadership team. Our<br />
leaders will embody <strong>and</strong> evidence<br />
our agreed values <strong>and</strong> principles.<br />
They will share our vision <strong>and</strong><br />
work together to deliver a<br />
single corporate plan. They will<br />
aspire to achieve the 'art of the<br />
possible' for patients <strong>and</strong> staff.<br />
They will demonstrate ownership<br />
<strong>and</strong> accountability, engaging,<br />
inspiring <strong>and</strong> motivating those<br />
around them. They will work<br />
collaboratively with internal<br />
<strong>and</strong> external stakeholders <strong>and</strong><br />
peers, devolving decision making<br />
<strong>and</strong> encouraging continuous<br />
improvement. They will celebrate<br />
success, <strong>and</strong> effectively manage<br />
non-delivery. We are currently<br />
developing core st<strong>and</strong>ards for all<br />
RD&E managers at every level <strong>and</strong><br />
will be rolling these out during<br />
20<strong>13</strong>/14<br />
• Management system<br />
development<br />
Work is underway to develop<br />
st<strong>and</strong>ard operating procedures<br />
that will be relevant throughout<br />
the Trust so that we bring a<br />
consistent, coherent <strong>and</strong><br />
well-managed approach to<br />
our work.<br />
Transforming what we do <strong>and</strong> how we<br />
do it, both within the hospital <strong>and</strong> with<br />
our external stakeholders, will present<br />
us with challenges over the coming<br />
years. Our aim, in all that we do, is to<br />
ensure that we keep patients safe <strong>and</strong><br />
provide the best possible quality of<br />
care. This will remain the key driver in<br />
everything we do.
