Two loans are repayable to the Secretary of State for Health.<br />

The first loan of £17 million, was entered into in the year ended 31 March 2006. It is a repayable over a 20 year period,<br />

ending 30 March 2026, by equal quarterly instalments. The interest rate of the loan is fixed at 4.55% per annum.<br />

The second loan of £10 million, was entered into in the year ended 31 March 2007, <strong>and</strong> is repayable over a 25 year<br />

period, ending 30 March 2032, by equal quarterly instalments. The interest rate of the loan is fixed at 5.05% per annum.<br />

Legal claims relate to employee <strong>and</strong> public liability claims.<br />

The "Other" category relates to injury benefit claims against the Trust.<br />

There were no contingent liabilities relating to legal claims.<br />

The NHS Litigation Authority is carrying provisions as at 31 March 20<strong>13</strong> in relation to the Existing Liabilities Scheme <strong>and</strong><br />

in relation to the Clinical Negligence Scheme on behalf of the Trust of £39,056,000 (<strong>2012</strong> - £24,329,000).<br />
