Analysis
Quarter 1
Two of the Monitor targets were
not met for Quarter 1 resulting
in Monitor giving an amber-red
governance rating.
• Non-achievement of the Maximum
time of 18 weeks from point of
referral to treatment in aggregate
for admitted patients target was
reported. The Trust’s position
against the target of 90% was
86.7%, 85.5% and 84.4% for
April, May and June respectively.
• Non-achievement of the Maximum
time of 18 weeks from point of
referral to treatment in aggregate
for patients on incomplete
pathways target was reported.
The Trust’s position against the
target of 92% was 86.1%, 88.8%
and 92.8% for April, May and
June respectively.

not met for Quarter 2 resulting
in Monitor giving an amber-red
governance rating.
• Non-achievement of the Maximum
time of 18 weeks from point of
referral to treatment in aggregate
for admitted patients target was
reported. The Trust’s position
against the target of 90% was
86.0%, 87.4% and 88.2% for
July, August and September
respectively.
Quarter 3
Two of the Monitor targets were
not met for Quarter 3 resulting
in Monitor giving an amber-red
governance rating.
• Non-achievement of the Maximum
time of 18 weeks from point of
referral to treatment in aggregate
for admitted patients target was
reported. The Trust’s position
against the target of 90% was
89.9%, 90.1% and 91.7% for
October, November and December
respectively. As this target is
assessed on a monthly basis the
non-achievement of the target in
October means the target was not
met for the quarter.
• Non-achievement of the Cancer
62 Day Waits for first treatment
(urgent GP referral for suspected
cancer) was reported. The Trust’s
position against the target of 85%
was 83.6% for the quarter.
Quarter 4
Four of the Monitor indicators
assessed on a quarterly basis were
not met for Quarter 4.
• All cancers: 31-day wait for second
or subsequent surgical treatment.
The position for the quarter was
85.3% against a target of 94%.
• All cancers: 62-day wait for first
treatment from urgent GP referral
to treatment. The position for
the quarter was 80.3% against a
target of 85%.
• All cancers: 31-day wait from
diagnosis to first treatment. The
position for the quarter was
94.4% against a target of 96%.
• All cancers: 14-day wait from
referral to date first seen for all
cancers. The position for the
quarter was 92.8% against a
target of 93%.
