3.2 Private patient income<br />

The statutory limitation on private patient income in section 44 of the 2006 Act was repealed with effect from 1<br />

October <strong>2012</strong> by the Health <strong>and</strong> Social Care Act <strong>2012</strong>. The accounts disclosures that were previously provided are<br />

no longer required.<br />

Included within "Non-patient care services to other bodies" are laundry services, transport services, payroll services,<br />

procurement services, IT services, finance services, estates services, pathology services, pharmacy services <strong>and</strong><br />

drug sales totalling £14.5 million (2011/12 - £14.4 million).<br />

Included within "Other" income above is catering income of £2 million, (2011/12 - £2 million), car parking income of<br />

£1.6 million (2011/12 - £1.5 million), nursery/crèche income of £1 million (2011/12 - £0.9 million) <strong>and</strong> staff<br />

accommodation income of £0.7 million (2011/12 - £0.6 million).<br />
