Details of methodology<br />
After the selection of the household, a rout<strong>in</strong>e kish-grid method was<br />
used to select the respondent, list<strong>in</strong>g liv<strong>in</strong>g and present members of the<br />
household. In households where the ma<strong>in</strong> wage earner lost his/her life<br />
<strong>in</strong> the tsunami, the previous wage earners’ occupations were recorded<br />
along with the present wage earners’ occupations.<br />
As most of the questions were applicable on the status-research of<br />
the household <strong>in</strong>stead of the <strong>in</strong>dividual, a replacement option was given<br />
with<strong>in</strong> the same household, provided the respondent was not a m<strong>in</strong>or.<br />
