When in E-UTRAN, if further conditions defined in 3GPP TS 36.331 [86] are met, this can cause transmission of a<br />

UEAssistanceInformation message with powerPrefIndication set to "lowPowerConsumption" to the network.<br />

NOTE:<br />

See subclause 10.1.38 for a command applicable to an MT using E-UTRAN, where the MT has a<br />

preference for a configuration that is not optimized for power saving.<br />

This command may be used in both normal and modem compatibility modes.<br />

Description<br />

The set command is used to set the MT to operate according to the specified UE's usage setting for EPS, see<br />

3GPP TS 24.301 [83].<br />

The read command returns the usage setting set by the TE.<br />

The test command is used for requesting information on the supported MT setting(s).<br />

Defined Values<br />

: integer type; indicates the usage setting of the UE. The default value is manufacturer specific.<br />

1 data centric<br />

NOTE: The definition for usage settings of the UE can be found in 3GPP TS 24.301 [83].<br />
