The resultant fused track, Track ID 740 in Figure 6-115, maintains continuity across the combined time interval spanned by the two contributing radars. Here again we have demonstrated that fusion, by extending the duration of target tracks, not only improves track continuity, but also provides a better indication of the actual number of targets being tracked. The time segment for the track in this paired dataset encompassed the interval from 01:56:52 to 01:58:03 UTC – a period of 77 seconds. The RFE required approximately two seconds to process this dataset – a computation rate in excess of 30 times faster than real time. 247
