Internal Review Survey<br />
Table 2 reports a summary of the percentage of <strong>student</strong>s who either agreed<br />
or strongly agreed to the internal review survey statements that related to the<br />
various <strong>feedback</strong> methods implemented as well as statements specific to<br />
the homework assignments <strong>and</strong> multimedia exercises. 76.6% of <strong>student</strong>s felt<br />
the homework assignments in Semester 2, 2008 were an effective <strong>feedback</strong><br />
method. However, fewer than 70% of <strong>student</strong>s found Perdisco <strong>and</strong> the<br />
demonstration tutorials to be effective <strong>for</strong>ms of <strong>feedback</strong> <strong>and</strong> less than<br />
half stated the online textbook questions were an effective way of<br />
receiving <strong>feedback</strong>.<br />
The internal review survey also highlighted that 79.5% found the homework<br />
assignments to be a good learning tool <strong>and</strong> not surprisingly, 87.3% appreciated<br />
the email notification of their assignment marks. Also, 66.6% of <strong>student</strong>s<br />
felt that the online learning tools were helpful <strong>for</strong> their underst<strong>and</strong>ing of the<br />
topic material, <strong>for</strong> example, using the normal distribution.<br />
