9.7 Other Issues, Challenges <strong>and</strong> Suggestions<br />

What issues, challenges have been faced by the team members<br />

in this project?<br />

While the time allocated to the project was generous, all team members<br />

undertake busy teaching loads, some of which is offshore, as well as in<br />

some cases, considerable administration duties. The strong commitment<br />

to learning <strong>and</strong> teaching investigation was tempered by the need to execute<br />

such activities. A further issue was poor <strong>student</strong> involvement (particularly<br />

at undergraduate level) in focus groups <strong>and</strong> general data gathering<br />

about their learning experiences.<br />
