Each facility will post the laundry schedule ontheir housing dayroom bulletin boards listing thedays the above items are collected.Contaminated LaundryThe Laundry and KV/PK Dorm Deputies shallensure the proper handling and washing ofcontaminated laundry. Contaminated laundry isclothing/items contaminated with or by airborne/bloodborne pathogens. [ALDF-4C-14] [CORE-4C-06]InventoryThe Laundry and KV/PK Dorm Deputies shallreplenish linen, cleaning, and laundry suppliesas necessary from the storage area bysubmitting a completed In-House RequisitionForm to the Supply Division.The Laundry and KV/PK Dorm Deputies shallmaintain a file of all inventories and orders oflinen, cleaning, and laundry supplies.KV/PK Laundry RoomsThe laundry rooms shall be maintained by theDorm Deputies.The Dorm Deputy shall not permit any inmateexcept for the designated laundry trusties intothe laundry room.The Dorm Deputy shall maintain all chemicals.The Dorm Deputies shall advise the ShiftSergeant and/or officer-in-charge of anydamaged equipment so that it may bedocumented for repair.Key West (KW) Laundry RoomThe laundry room shall be the Laundry Deputy'spost.The laundry room key shall be maintained in theKey Watcher box when the laundry room is notin use.Only authorized trusties shall be allowed accessto the laundry room. The Laundry Room doorclosest to the back supply room will be locked atall times including when the Laundry Deputy ispresent.Male inmates will not be allowed in the laundryroom while female inmates are present.Female trusties will be under supervision at alltimes. If the Laundry Deputy needs to leave thelaundry room, he or she shall contact MainControl and the Medical Deputy to inform themto check on the trusties and not to allow otherinmates into the laundry areas.Inmate trusties shall not be allowed to distributeclothing and linen to inmates unless escorted byand supervised by the Laundry Deputy.Rovers Supervise KW Laundry Trusties onWeekendsThe Shift Rovers will supervise the trusties in thelaundry room by checking on them during theday.
