OF PAGES: 3MONROECOUNTYSHERIFF’SOFFICECHAPTER: AdministrativeTOPIC:Supplies Daily Operations_____________________Sheriff of <strong>Monroe</strong> <strong>County</strong>PURPOSE:The purpose of this directive is to establishpolicy for the <strong>Monroe</strong> <strong>County</strong> Detention Facilitiesthat the Inventory Technician is primarilyresponsible for ordering, receiving, storage,distribution, and inventory control of productsand supplies necessary for the daily operationsof all <strong>Monroe</strong> <strong>County</strong> Detention Facilities.Inventory control and purchasing of supplies andequipment shall comply with applicable statutesand regulations and General Operations Manualchapter 80. [ALDF-7D-15]SCOPE:This directive applies to the InventoryTechnician and all Detention Personnel.PERSON RESPONSIBLE:Operations Commander.POLICY AND PROCEDURES:Personnel that require any items that arestocked in-house will fill out an In-HouseRequisition Form to obtain those items. Placethe form in the basket marked In-HouseRequisitions in the <strong>Administration</strong> area or sendvia e-mail directly to the Inventory Technician.The Inventory Technician shall deliver itemsordered by the housing dorms/units to the backadministration hallway once per week. Thenight Shift Sergeant will assign a deputy todeliver the supplies left in the hallway to thevarious housing units and dorms janitor’sclosets.Janitorial SuppliesThe Inventory Technician shall maintain asupply of cleaning materials and equipmentnecessary to sustain daily housekeepingpractices at all detention facilities for a minimumof two weeks.Stocking and requisition of cleaning suppliesThe Inventory Technician will fill In-HouseRequisitions twice weekly for all areasexcept housing areas. All Units/Dorms In-House Requisitions will be filled onceweekly.The Marathon and Plantation Key ShiftSergeant/designee will contact the InventoryTechnician as to their needs.Distribution of SuppliesIf the Inventory Technician determines thatan unusual amount of supplies are beingutilized in a specific area, he or she willimmediately initiate an Incident Reportmaking reference to the excess usage fromthe said affected area(s) and forward theIncident Report to the OperationsCommander.BOC - 1:022 Date of Original: Jan 1994 1Previous Revision Date(s): 9/15/99, 5/5/00, 5/29/06, 8/22/11Dissemination Date: 02/28/14 Effective Date: 03/07/14
