<strong>Crime</strong> & Criminals Tracking Network and Systems ProjectNagaland Police• Handling Complaints and Public Grievances: Registering FIRs in case the complaintsare adjudged as office, arrange for compromise between parties, redressing publicgrievances• Maintaining <strong>Crime</strong> and Criminal Data: Various registers in the Police stations aremaintained for recording details of <strong>Crime</strong> and data on criminals which are essentiallyreferred during investigationsoffice, etc. with respect to crime and criminal related activities in their area4.3 Existing Legacy SystemsThe detailed information pertaining to the existing systems has been provided as Annexure IX to this<strong>RFP</strong>.4.4 Infrastructure in Nagaland State Data CentreNagaland State Data Centre is in the advanced state of implementation and is expected to be up byMay, 2011. The list of hardware to be leveraged has been indicated in Section 5.4.7 and bidder to dodetail assessment before submitting their proposal.4.5 Existing WAN InfrastructureThe information pertaining to the existing WAN infrastructure and the SWAN utilization for providingconnectivity to police locations has been provided as Annexure VII to this <strong>RFP</strong>.4.6 Existing Client Site InfrastructureThe detailed information pertaining to the existing client site infrastructure procured for CIPA hasbeen provided as Annexure VIII to this <strong>RFP</strong>.4.7 Existing Capacity Building InfrastructureNagaland Police has various training centers across the state and the <strong>SI</strong> can use these centers for<strong>CCTNS</strong> trainings. The detailed information pertaining to the existing capacity building infrastructurehas been provided in Annexure VIII to this <strong>RFP</strong>4.8 Core Application SoftwareThe <strong>CCTNS</strong> application software will contain a “core” for the States/ UTs that is common across all 35States and UTs. The <strong>CCTNS</strong> Core Application Software (henceforth referred to as CAS) will bedeveloped at NCRB premises and provided to States and UTs for deployment. Each State/UT wouldcustomize the CAS according to their unique requirements and thereafter commission the same.States and UTs also have an option to develop and deploy additional applications over and above thecustomized CAS. The choice of such applications lies exclusively with the State/UT. The list ofadditional applications and CAS extensions/ customization requirements are mentioned in theFunctional Requirement Specifications, attached as Annexure IV to this <strong>RFP</strong>.The Core application Software (CAS) is expected to be ready by October 2011.This section provides the details of the CAS (State) and CAS (Center) that will be developed by theSoftware Development Agency at the Center. The details provided in subsequent sections (4.10 and4.11) should be read in conjunction with the <strong>RFP</strong> and the associated addendums issued by NCRB forthe selection of the Software Development Agency for the Design, Development and Management of<strong>CCTNS</strong> Core Application Software (CAS).<strong>Volume</strong> I Request for Proposal for Selection of System Integrator Page 21 of 193
