Rental HousingAbove: An example <strong>of</strong> rental housing in <strong>Summerville</strong>Another component <strong>of</strong> assessing the cost <strong>of</strong>housing in a community is in looking at howmuch renters are paying for their units. Rentersoccupy a mix <strong>of</strong> housing consumers, rangingfrom young pr<strong>of</strong>essionals just out <strong>of</strong> college to alarge portion <strong>of</strong> the population working in theservice industries with lower than median pay,to seniors who have made the choice todownsize.
