224 Tuition, Fees and Other Financial InformationFees for Other Special Items or ServicesApplication Fees<strong>Graduate</strong>: $50; Undergraduate: $75; International: $90.Cooperative Education FeeA fee of $75 is charged to all students participating in domestic or international CooperativeEducation programs.Diploma FeeA non-refundable fee of $47.50 per degree sought is assessed the semester a studentapplies for graduation. This fee is payable each time a student applies for graduation. Alate fee of $50, in addition to the diploma fee, is charged to those who apply for graduationafter the set deadline.Independent International Study FeeThe $100 fee covers services provided by Study Abroad Programs associated withstudents who elect to go abroad and transfer credit back to Texas A&M. Such servicesinclude advising students and departments on key issues and procedures before, duringand after programs abroad; overseeing transfer credit paperwork; maintaining libraryand computer resources for those who want to pursue independent opportunities abroad;and overseeing issues related to affiliated programs abroad and emergency services toassist students as needed.International Student Health InsuranceInternational students (students who are not U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residentsof the United States) enrolled at Texas A&M are required to have health insurance.International students will be automatically enrolled in and charged for the SystemStudent Health Insurance Plan (SSHIP) unless they apply for, and are granted, a waiver.Individually purchased plans from vendors other than the Texas A&M University Systemprovider will not be eligible for a waiver of automatic enrollment in the SSHIP. This isto ensure that medical treatment will be available in the event of injury or illness duringenrollment at the University. This requirement includes students enrolled in extensiveEnglish language programs. Full-time English Language Institute (ELI) students shouldcontact ELI for information about this requirement. All other International studentscan receive more detailed information about this requirement by visiting the websiteat iss.tamu.edu/insurance/insurance.asp.
