Degree Information/The Degree of Master of Business Administration 99tions made after the application deadline will not receive a refund of the diplomafee. Students who have completed all their degree requirements will not be allowedto cancel their graduation. The Registrar attempts each semester to balance thesize of each ceremony. Thus, the makeup of the ceremony by colleges does change fromsemester to semester. Graduation times are posted each semester on the website of theOffice of the Registrar. A student should check the website at graduation.tamu.edu todetermine the date and time of his/her graduation ceremony.Final ExaminationA final oral examination is not required for the Executive Master of Business Administrationdegree.The Degree of Master of Business AdministrationMays Professional MBA ProgramThe Mays Business School offers a Professional MBA Program (PMBA) leading tothe degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) for working professionals withprofessional work experience. Selected PMBA participants only are eligible to enroll inthe Mays Professional MBA Program courses.The Mays Professional MBA Program is a 45 credit hour, lock-step program. Allcourse enrollments are handled through the Mays Professional MBA Program Office.The Mays PMBA Program class sessions are held at CityCentre III in Houston, Texas.It is required that all class sessions must be attended by participants in person on thescheduled weekends; Fridays from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. –6:00 p.m. Details regarding the Mays PMBA Program may be obtained by contacting theMays MBA Program Office or at the website pmba.tamu.edu. The Mays PMBA Programis a non-thesis degree for which a final oral examination is not required. Admission tothe program is in the fall semester only. The Mays Business School is accredited by theAssociation to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) at all program levels.PMBA Participant’s Advisory CommitteeThe Mays Professional MBA participant’s advisory committee consists of the Directorof the Mays PMBA Program or the Associate Dean for <strong>Graduate</strong> Programs withinthe Mays Business School. The Director or the Associate Dean has the responsibility ofapproving the proposed degree plan for PMBA participants. When necessary, recommendationsin cases of academic deficiency will be made to the Office of <strong>Graduate</strong> andProfessional Studies.Degree PlanThe degree plan must be completed and filed by the Mays PMBA Program officewith the Office of <strong>Graduate</strong> and Professional Studies following the deadline imposed bythe participant’s college and no later than dates announced in the OGAPS calendar ofdeadlines for graduation.No changes can be made to the degree plan once the student’s Request for FinalExamination or Request for Final Examination Exemption is approved by the Office of<strong>Graduate</strong> and Professional Studies.
